SUNSHINE PARTNERS WITH EQUESTRIAN BRIDGES

Our long-time friends at Equestrian Bridges partnered with us this spring to host many therapeutic opportunities for Sunshine families and staff!

As part of a pilot program supported by Champion Retail, a group of students from our Applied Behavior Analysis program took weekly trips to Equestrian Bridges for some equine therapy fun. To celebrate Arkansas Children’s Week and staff appreciation, the mini ponies took a mini road trip to Sunshine to pay us a special visit. We even hosted our very first Picnic with the Ponies event at Equestrian Bridges, a family fun day including a sunny cookout provided by Grand Savings Bank, music, bounce castle, games, and of course, therapy horses!

Sunshine students always love spending time with the horses and ponies, where they can build skills through engaging experiences like brushing, petting, and even riding them. Our staff have also enjoyed getting to know the horses alongside our students. We are so grateful for Equestrian Bridges, Champion Retail, and Grand Savings Bank for their continued partnership and positive impact on Sunshine staff, students, and families each year!
