MISSION PARTNER SPOTLIGHT

Thanking longtime partner, Summit Community Care.

Early this Fall, Jen Hollis, Growth & Engagement Manager for Summit Community Care met with our Philanthropy Team to learn more about Sunshine School. Summit has been connected with our work for years, and Jen wanted to see how they could make a bigger impact in the lives of our students and clients. After touring our building and learning more about all that Sunshine School does, Jen asked us to provide a wish list of supplies that our classrooms and therapists would love to have this year – and she told us to dream big, so we did.

Jen shared with us “Summit Community Care's Growth and Engagement team promotes the organization’s commitment to improving lives and communities. Throughout 2020, Summit Community Care had the opportunity to work closely with Sunshine School & Development Center by sponsoring the Art Show and donating items to the school”.

In December, we were so excited to get a truck load of boxes, filled with everything that had been on our wish list! Each classroom was given a large tub of art supplies, educational games, and fun activities. Each therapy department also got a tub of supplies and activities that can be used during students’ treatments. “This was a small way to show our appreciation for the courageous efforts delivered by the Sunshine team and to help ensure the individuals being served have the resources they need to reach their full potential”.
