NURSING

Sunshine School & Development Center’s Nursing Program is a special service that sets us above the rest. We have licensed nurses on staff. They coordinate with families, teachers and physicians to develop a dietary and/or health care plan for any student requiring these services. Currently, 50% of our students have a healthcare or dietary plan. Our nurses provide general first aid, feeding and medications for our students. They also offer vision screenings from a licensed nurse.

Sunshine School’s nursing program provides the following services:

  • Coordination with family, teachers, therapists and physicians to make individualized health care and/or dietary plans for your child.

  • General first aid including bumps and bruise treatment.

  • Administration of medications and feedings.

  • Offer vision screenings on-site utilizing latest technology, GoCheck App. This app is able to screen children with limited language skills.

  • American Heart Association certified CPR and First Aid trainers and provide training monthly to all staff.
