We at Sunshine School & Development Center are passionate about disability inclusion from the early years in the classroom throughout a person's career! Join us for a luncheon focusing on disability inclusion in the workforce. This event will feature a panel discussion with representatives from some companies that rank 80% or higher on Disability:IN's 2019 index of best places to work for disability inclusion.

Chief Merchandising Officer, Walmart U.S.
Steve Bratspies is the Chief Merchandising Officer for Walmart U.S. Prior to his current position, Steve held a variety of merchandising roles, most recently overseeing Walmart’s food business, private brands and global food sourcing. He has also led the General Merchandise business and the Dry Grocery business where received the Merchandise Excellence Business Unit Leader of the Year award in 2011.
Steve joined the company in 2005 as Vice President of Marketing and was promoted to Senior Vice President in 2007. In this role, he was responsible for all marketing activities for each merchandise category, the Walmart brand, seasonal events, multicultural programming and media.
Prior to joining Walmart, Steve served as Chief Marketing Officer for Specialty Brands, worked in strategic planning and marketing for Frito-Lay. He began his career in management consulting with Andersen Consulting and A.T. Kearney, Inc.
Steve earned an BA in Economics from Franklin and Marshall College and an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
He currently serves as the executive sponsor of the President’s Inclusion Council for Walmart and the executive sponsor of the Associate’s with Disabilities Resource Group. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Northwest Arkansas Children’s Shelter.
