Sunshine School & Development Center offers a program called First Connections, an early intervention program for families and their children. This program serves families with children ages birth to 3 years of age who have been identified with a delay based on results of an individualized evaluation. This age range is a critical time for development in a child’s life and this program is designed to guide parents through this stage. Our service coordinators will work with families to provide support, information and services that are available to each family based on their needs. Our program promotes parents being their child’s “first teacher” and helping the child to reach their full potential.
Sunshine School’s First Connections program offers the following services:
Support, information and services to guide parents to be their child’s “first teacher”.
Family training and education materials to assist parents in guiding their child in a familiar place with familiar people.
Outpatient therapy (physical, occupational and speech-language therapy) can be provided for those who qualify.
Service Coordinators are certified throughout the State of Arkansas.
Service Coordinators will connect families with local and state resources.
