Another Great ‘Cookies with Santa’ Event

Thanks to all who made it a joyous night for our students and families! We are so thankful our annual Sunshine Christmas party, known as ‘Cookies with Santa,’ was another great success! This year we had 74 families in attendance. Having the building full of 246 party-goers was a joyous time! We had door prize giveaways, games and prizes, craft tables, raffles, cookie decorating and of course, pictures with Santa. We want to give our thanks to the volunteer groups that helped the night of the event to make it a success. Thank you to Acosta who handed out goodie bags, students from the Ignite program who assisted with pictures with Santa and wearing our Ray costume, the Sunshine School Young P

THANKING OUR LONG-TIME SUPPORTERS AT ACOSTA We are always grateful for partners who join us in the mission at Sunshine School. They have been supporting us for years by sponsoring events, holding donation drives in their office, and volunteering for both program events and for projects at the school. We can always count on them to help where needed - whether it is helping to collect s

It was decided to form a Men's group. This group would include one outstanding staff and several male clients. We were excited when Chacco Hernedez quickly volunteered to head up the group. Starting in November, 3 evenings a week, Chacco gathers up 4 of the 6 clients in the Men’s group and takes them out to enjoy each other’s company and to participate in activities in the community. They have been spotted having fun at the Rogers bowling alley, Fast Lanes, Musicworks,

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year from all of us at Sunshine School & Development Center! We are excited to enter this decade as we continue to partner with you to impact the lives of individuals and families through therapy, education and support. This year we will see those Kindershine students – and all of our other children – continue to thrive and grow, and many of them graduate. We’ll see our Community Support friends continue to excel as they actively participate in community activities. As you will read on page 3, we have started both Men’s
