APPLIED BEHAVIORAL ANALYSIS (ABA)

What is ABA? Applied behavior analysis (ABA) is the use of evidence-based practices to increase socially significant behaviors.  ABA is typically done in a 1:1 format, however, the skills and techniques utilized in ABA can be used in the home, group, and community settings as well.

ABA can work on core deficits related to an ASD diagnosis including communication, socialization, activities of daily living (ADL) as well as maladaptive behavior reduction.  Our ABA therapy team consists of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) as well as multiple Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT).

If you have any questions about ABA or have a child with a confirmed Autism diagnosis and would like to be put on the ABA interest list, please contact Tara Lee Petty (ABA Manager) at taralee.petty@nwasunshineschool.org
